Joe Sestak, Friend of Clinton, Biden, Obama, Says He’s ‘Not A Washington Insider’

Joe Sestak spoke with CBS News in a webcam interview this week.

Sestak, described by CBS News as “one of the very few candidates this year to stand side-by-side with President Obama,” said in the interview that “the president stood up to the establishment” in running for office, and that he himself is “definitely not a Washington insider.”

Now wait a minute. Joe Sestak has spent the past two months talking up his service in the Clinton White House as Director of Defense Policy on the National Security Council! He’s been traveling the state, welcoming everyone from Bill Clinton — twice — to Joe Biden to Barack Obama and probably the First Lady as Election Day nears.

That’s a pretty neat trick for an “independent” Washington outsider.

Cognitive dissonance seems to be the number one qualifier for political office these days. The interview begins at approximately 12 minutes into the 16 minute clip, available here.
