A Voluntary Core Curriculum Grows at Emory


Emory University has an interesting experiment going — offering students a voluntary core curriculum that gives them a sound liberal-arts education. The program has been meeting with considerable success. History professor Harvey Klehr, the director of the program, writes about it in this week’s Pope Center Clarion Call.

This seems like an idea that could and should spread.
